DESCRIPTION:

We will learn to print on cotton fabrics, to classify the fabrics, to observe and learn about the plants that surround us. We will create our own unique and unrepeatable designs. Finally, you will take home the work produced to let your imagination fly and create with it what you want. whatever you fancy.

TO WHOM IS IT ADDRESSED:

This course is aimed at those who wish to expand their knowledge of textile arts, as well as people without previous experience who are passionate about learning something new.

GOALS :

Eco-print is a dyeing process that explores and develops creativity. In addition to being a natural and sustainable technique, it is so necessary in the world.
The workshop aims to raise awareness of this traditional textile technique and gradually create a new roadmap for more sustainable development.
It will be a wonderful experience surrounded by nature.

METHODOLOGY :

In the workshop we will learn by experiencing the technique in a practical way. We will address the theoretical part while we do it. We will also have a good time for questions and to clarify possible doubts.

- Brief introduction to Ecoprint
- Preparation of mixtures.
- Design process.
- Cooking.
- Fiber mordanting process.
- Classification of tissues.
- Classification of botanical material.
- Opening of designs and analysis of results.

TEACHER :

Magalí Ronconi López is a Textile Art Designer graduated from l'Escola Massana and a Craftswoman specialized in Natural Dyes and Botanical Printing. With more than 10 years of experience in the textile world, she is the creator of Natural Maga, a project that was born from the love for nature, natural fabrics and traditional techniques, betting on sustainability throughout its creation process.
Fascinated by colors, a lover of nature, landscapes and the arts, Maga is an eternal researcher of textile techniques.
